Denials Specialist

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Denials Specialist to support a large health system in Annapolis, MD. This role will focus heavily on third-party payor follow-up, denials, and appeals, specifically supporting BCBS-related accounts. Responsibilities include: u2003u2022 Performs follow-up on all third-party payer accounts receivable and appeals u2003u2022 Works denials, payor rejections, and accounts with no response from payors u2003u2022 Ensures maximum cash flow through billing, collections, and claims submission u2003u2022 Uses Epic to manage hospital billing workflows and work queues u2003u2022 Bills claims using UB-04 forms across patient classes (inpatient, outpatient, ED, ambulatory) u2003u2022 Acts as a liaison with patients, internal departments, and Patient Financial Services teammates u2003u2022 Obtains insurance information and required authorizations u2003u2022 Communicates with payors and external departments to resolve receivables u2003u2022 Maintains compliance with state, federal, and local billing and reimbursement regulations u2003u2022 Follows standard daily work for third-party follow-up and reporting Performs additional duties as assigned We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
