Accounts Payable

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented accounting clerk to join our team in Springfield, Kentucky. In this role, you will ensure accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor account management while contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial operations. This position requires a strong ability to handle multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, and uphold high standards of accuracy. Responsibilities: u2022 Process weekly check runs to ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors. u2022 Reconcile the Accounts Payable General Ledger on a weekly basis to confirm account accuracy. u2022 Gather vendor information for approval and manage the setup process within the system. u2022 Match invoices with corresponding documents, such as purchase orders and receiving records, for proper validation. u2022 Enter approved invoices into the Accounts Payable system with precision. u2022 Produce check registers for review and approval by the Controller. u2022 Assist with monthly and annual closing procedures to ensure smooth financial reporting. u2022 Conduct reviews of purchase orders to verify liabilities and ensure accuracy. u2022 Communicate with suppliers to confirm the validity of invoices and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Prepare detailed weekly and monthly cash forecasts as part of financial planning. Requirements u2022 Familiarity with Accounts Payable processes, including invoice coding and payment procedures. u2022 Ability to manage check runs and ensure compliance with payment schedules. u2022 Proficiency in processing and verifying invoices with a high level of accuracy. u2022 Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. u2022 Analytical skills for reconciling financial accounts and preparing forecasts. u2022 Knowledge of business administration and financial practices. u2022 Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information. u2022 Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
