Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and issue accurate invoices for residential and commercial services in a timely manner. u2022 Process and apply customer payments, including checks, credit cards, and lockbox transactions, using accounting systems. u2022 Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to billing, payments, and disputes by collaborating with internal departments. u2022 Maintain detailed accounts receivable records, including aging schedules and supporting documentation. u2022 Monitor overdue accounts and assist with early-stage collection efforts to ensure timely payments. u2022 Communicate professionally with customers regarding invoices, account statuses, and payment inquiries. u2022 Ensure adherence to company billing policies, internal controls, and accounting standards. u2022 Support month-end closing activities by performing reconciliations and generating reports. u2022 Assist with customer account setup, contract updates, and service adjustments as needed. u2022 Provide administrative support for accounting tasks and ensure efficient operations. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3u20134 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related accounting roles. u2022 Familiarity with industry-specific billing software, such as PestPac, is preferred. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with accounting systems. u2022 Knowledge of AR processes, payment applications, and fundamental accounting principles. u2022 Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach. u2022 Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. u2022 High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. u2022 Experience in the pest control industry, particularly with residential and commercial services, is a plus.
