The Mission Systems Operations Contract (MSOC) at the Johnson Space Center is seeking an Electronics and Voice Engineer to design, build, and integrate low voltage control systems, data acquisition solutions, and custom electronic assemblies for operational platforms and test environments. The role includes PLC programming, single board computer I/O (such as Raspberry Pi), circuit and component design, and full lifecycle fabrication work, including procurement, vendor coordination, and collaboration with Mechanical Engineering and Drafting. Working knowledge of voice communication systems, video processing and distribution, and GPS timing systems is also desirable. The applicant will support mission, simulation, and testing activities in the Mission Control Center (MCC), the Mission Training Complex (MTC), and the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility (SVMF). Some activities may be mission critical or complex and may require support outside standard hours (Mu2013F, 8u20135), including weekends or holidays. Business travel may be required. The selected applicant will participate in project design working groups, develop inputs for critical design reviews, prepare system engineering materials, and provide project cost estimates for labor and materials. They will also support design presentations to contract management and NASA customers. The applicant will work in a team environment and must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
