Some of the populations and diagnoses we work with includebut are not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech and languagedisorders, and feeding difficulties. Our speech and occupationalservices work to improve clients speech skills, communication, sensoryprocessing, fine motor and gross motor skills.Position SummaryThe Occupational Therapist will evaluate, plan, and provide directoccupational therapy services to clients in a clinic setting. The idealcandidate will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning, excellent verbaland written communication skills, and a compassionate, family-centeredapproach.This is a 1099 position with part-time hours. There is potential forgrowth into full-time as caseload grows. There is currently a waitlistfor OT including existing and new clients.Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations using standardized and non-standardized assessments to identify sensory, motor, and functional needs.- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, activities of daily living (ADLs), and self-regulation.- Document SOAP notes and progress report in accordance with insurance and clinic documentation standards.- Collaborate with caregivers and interdisciplinary team members to support goal carryover and functional success in daily environments.- Provide home programs and parent/caregiver training to reinforce therapy strategies outside of sessions.- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state licensure regulations, and payer requirements.- Participate in continuing education, clinical development initiatives, and any necessary team/company meetings.Education, Licensure, & Certification- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.- Current and active Occupational Therapist License issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).- Current NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).Experience- 1+ year(s) of pediatric outpatient experience (new graduates with strong pediatric fieldwork experience encouraged to apply).- Understanding of sensory integration, motor development, and play-based therapy approaches.- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems (EMRs, EHRs).- Excellent written communication and documentation skills (grammar, spelling, punctuation).- Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills.Work ScheduleThis is a part-time position in which the Occupational Therapist will bepaid per session. All employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis.The clinic is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00PM and Saturday 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
