In this role, you will impact the overall effectiveness of our corporate operations by developing software solutions that enhance productivity and streamline processes, ultimately supporting Honeywell's strategic objectives. Honeywellu2019s Tridium development team is looking for an experienced, energetic, and innovative Embedded Software Engineer to be based in Richmond, VA. Tridium is a global software and services company that develops and markets Niagara, a M2M software framework that solves the challenges of managing smart devices in real time, over the Internet. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES u2022 Develop firmware applications and scripts on different platforms u2022 Participate in full software development lifecycle from idea conception through release and maintenance u2022 Utilize various microprocessor development kits to determine design compatibility u2022 Collaborate with hardware team during design, development and integration u2022 Assist with the maintenance of source repositories u2022 Collaborate with sales and marketing to define features u2022 Partner with Software Quality Assurance during software test process u2022 Troubleshoot support inquiries escalated from internal technical support group YOU MUST HAVE u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics. u2022 2+ years of relevant embedded SW development experience with Masteru2019s degree u2022 3+ years of relevant embedded SW development experience with Bacheloru2019s degree u2022 Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python. u2022 Experience with software development tools and version control systems. u2022 Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
