The Summer Camp Counselor reportsto the Director of Youth Programs and is based at the Milwaukee andOzaukee campuses. This is a 40 hour per week role that runs from June 15August 21 with training taking place the week of June 15. If you'relooking for a rewarding seasonal role that makes a meaningful differencein the lives of animals and people while working alongside a supportiveteam, apply today Key accountabilities: Lead campers through games,hands-on activities, presentations, and interactions with animalsFacilitate high-impact camp programs in alignment with organizationalresources and priorities Support youth program volunteers who assistwith camp activities Provide a safe, interactive learning environmentfor campers and animals in a fast-paced environment Follow all camp andyouth programs protocols Monitor effectiveness of camp activities andprograms and work with youth programs staff on any adjustments neededSet up and clean up camp space and classrooms Use organizationallyaligned positive behavior strategies to support youth OTHEREXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications: At least 18 years oldAbility to travel to the Milwaukee and Ozaukee campuses Available for aminimum of eight of the weeks of camp and training listed aboveComfortable presenting to diverse groups of young people andcommunicating to a wide variety of audiences Dedicated to providingstrong customer service Experience and ability to effectively work withyoung people who have completed grades 1-9 and meet them where they areWorks well with a team and can lead outlined activities with minimalsupervision Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrateflexibility while juggling multiple responsibilities Comfortablehandling dogs, cats, and small animals like rabbits and guinea pigsDemonstrated alignment with our mission, people-centered philosophy, andorganizational values of compassion, respect, and kindness; innovation;professionalism; equity; and positive approach Ability to navigateemotional aspects of animal welfare work Hourly Rate: $15 APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply Online:
