JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary Reporting to the Trade Operations Leader,the Trade Compliance Associate supports the execution of internationaltrade compliance activities to help ensure HellermannTyton North Americaoperates in accordance with U.S. Customs and applicable foreign traderegulations. This position provides day-to-day operational andcompliance support for import and export processes, including reviewingentry documentation, maintaining HTS classifications and Country ofOrigin (COO) data, and administering free trade agreement programs suchas USMCA. The role assists with vendor solicitation and collection ofCOO and HTS certifications, maintains required trade documentation, andsupports accurate duty application and trade remedy tracking. This willbe achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHScertifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, workinstructions, and required documentation. The Trade Compliance Associateis responsible for maintaining organized and accurate trade records,updating internal databases, and ensuring activities align withestablished corporate policies, departmental procedures, and regulatoryrequirements. Essential Functions: Prepare and issue Free TradeAgreement (FTA) certificates, including USMCA, and other required tradeprogram declarations for customers and affiliated entities. Perform FTAqualification analyses for manufactured and resale products inaccordance with applicable U.S. trade agreement rules. Review and auditimport entry documentation to ensure accurate HTS classification,Country of Origin (COO), trade remedy applicability (e.g., Section232/301, IEEPA), and proper duty assessment. Assign and maintain producttrade classifications, including HTS, ECCN, Schedule B, COO, andapplicable preference criteria, with supporting documentation.Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, manufacturers, and customsbrokers to obtain and validate required classification and origin data.Maintain and update the internal trade compliance database to ensureaccurate import and export classification records. Administer the annualsupplier solicitation process for trade certifications coveringpurchased materials, components, and resale products. File ElectronicExport Information (EEI) through AES and maintain ITN documentation forU.S. export shipments. Conduct restricted party screening and escalatepotential matches in accordance with U.S. Export AdministrationRegulations (EAR). Maintain trade compliance records in accordance with15 CFR, 19 CFR, and company retention policies to support auditreadiness. Support the enhancement and maintenance of HellermannTyton's trade compliance recordkeeping practices in accordance with 15 CFR, 19CFR, and applicable GAAP requirements.
