This position iseligible for a sign-on bonus up to $10k FTE: 1.00 Standard Hours:40.00 Shift: Shift 1 Working 8-hour shifts with a holiday and weekendrotation. Job Summary: The Echocardiographer is responsible forperforming Transthoracic echocardiograms, setting up and assisting withTransesophageal Echocardiograms and, under the direction of a trainedechocardiographer, setting up and performing exercise and DobutamineStress Echocardiograms to the standards set forth by the AmericanSociety of Echocardiography and Froedtert Hospital. This individualdemonstrates increasing competency in delivery of care to a primarilyadult population. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Graduate or a minimum of 1year of experience as a cardiac sonographer or echocardiographer isrequired. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Completion of a two-year Allied Healthdegree and successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP approved School ofUltrasound Technology, or Cardiovascular Technology, or equivalenteducation. Work requires sufficient education/training to acquireAmerican Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) orCardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification incardiac ultrasound, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), orRegistered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS). Previous health care related suchas CNA, EMT, PCA or other is preferred. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: RDCS orRegistered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from the CardiovascularCredentialing International, or completion of RDCS/RCS requirementswithin 12 months of employment is required. American Heart Association(AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHAapproved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
