Sr. Director, National Health Plan, PBM Accounts In Bayeru2019s Pharmaceuticals division, we focus on researching, developing, and marketing specialty-focused innovative medicinaes that provide significant clinical benefit and value, primarily in the therapeutic areas of cardiology, oncology, gynecology, hematology, and ophthalmology. This is a remote based role so caniddate can sit anywhere in the contingent United States. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Director, National Accounts, Health Plan PBMu2019s, are to: + Deliver and maintain profitable access, advantageous policy, and appropriate reimbursement for Bayer products at National Payer through commercialization of launch products and life cycle management of the portfolio; + Develop strategic plans and ensure flawless execution; + Create innovative business opportunities to drive profitable short and long-term customer partnerships; + Develop and enhance customer partnerships across the customer enterprise and cross-functionally at Bayer, developing deep enduring executive relationships; + Be the customer expert by providing insight into customer policy, benefit, clinical evaluation, and legislation impact to market and navigate into the payer/PBM executive/C-suite; + Facilitate Payer Champion and value for product access within the PBM in Mega Accounts: Drive payer access across regional Payers through alignment of Regional Payer team in PBMs in Mega-Accounts; + Drive outcomes and take ownership of the customer organization; + Drive customer strategy and initiatives with internal contracting, Access Strategy, and Pricing teams for the Payer and PBM customers; + Resource Management: High-level interactions with Medical/HEOR, Brand Teams, and Legal optimizing customer opportunities; + Act as the Mega Account point and manage strategy across the organization through coordination of Regional Account Directors, Pull Through Account Directors, SP Account Directors, FRMs, Contracting, Access Strategy, and Brand Key Tasks; + Lead high-level communications that will align brands with market dynamics and competitive trends that could impact profitable access; + Meet departmental and brand expectations inclusive of stretch goals through appropriate resource management, strategic and novel innovative, best-in-class approaches; + Understand the long-term impact based on market dynamics now and in the future, and facilitates strategy and plan implementation to produce long-term profitable access while meeting short-term key brand performance metrics; + Strong negotiation capabilities, ability to deliver value despite nominal differentiation. WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Qualifications: + Bacheloru2019s degree; + Related work experience in sales and/or account management in the pharmaceutical industry; + Recent HP/PBM and Payer account management and leadership (required); + Experience in a supervisory or leadership position (required). Preferred Qualifications: + MBA preferred; + 12+ years related work experience in sales and/or account management in the pharmaceutical industry; + 3+ years of recent HP/PBM and Payer account management and leadership; + 5+ years managed markets experience with demonstrated success (preferred); + 5+ yearsu2019 experience in a supervisory or leadership position; + Experience executing market access strategies for National PBM and Payer accounts, and exposure to contract development and negotiations for the same (preferred). Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $202,000.00 - $303,000.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicantu2019s location, market data/ranges, an applicantu2019s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
