Insert Overview Statement What You Can Expect: The Legal Contract Manager is responsible for complex contract negotiation, the preparation, acceptance and management of contracts and subcontracts, including licensing agreements. - Manages the contract activities of the organization. - Reads and interprets contracts, corresponds with contracting parties, and develops and implements processes to help ensure that parties meet contractual obligations. - May lead and direct the work of others. - Responsible in conjunction with counsel for the development of standard contract documents, including terms and conditions. - Establishes and administers contracting strategies to improve business performance and ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards. - Assists with overseeing tasks such as negotiating with providers and administering provider agreements. - Evaluates the financial impact of contracts. - Receives requests for drafting of contracts and gathers basic information concerning the proposed terms. - Provides training and education to other departments across the organization to strengthen processes. - Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: - Education: JD or Masters degree + 2 additional years of experience - Experience: 6 years relevant experience. - Licenses/Certifications: None required.
