Criminal Analyst CRIMINAL BUREAU (Boston Office) The Attorney Generalu2019s Office is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Criminal Bureau as a Criminal Analyst. The analyst will conduct open-source analysis for the Criminal Bureau. The Criminal Bureau is staffed by a group of experienced prosecutors who partner with Massachusetts State Police troopers assigned to the Attorney Generalu2019s Office, financial investigators, and local, state, and federal investigative and enforcement agencies. _Primary Duties_:The Criminal Analyst will provide open-source research and online investigation support across the Criminal Bureau divisions, including Human Trafficking, Gaming Enforcement, White Collar and Public Integrity, Enterprise and Major Crimes, and Insurance and Unemployment Fraud. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: u00b7 Conduct and manage complex research across division subject areas, including analysis of telephone and location data to identify criminal plotting and conspiracy. u00b7 Analyze aggregate datasets and develop methodologies to determine root causes, patterns, and opportunities to improve public safety and generate investigative leads. u00b7 Use data collection software to compile and assess information received from partner enforcement reports and anonymous reports. u00b7 Conduct preliminary vetting of incoming tips and intelligence. u00b7 Solicit user participation in contributing information to various intelligence databases. u00b7 Collaborate with law enforcement officials and Assistant Attorneys General to identify gaps in existing criminal investigation and intelligence, to collect raw data, and to evaluate and support case progress. u00b7 Prepare, summarize, and present investigative findings. u00b7 Communicate and coordinate with other law enforcement agencies on deconfliction matters. u00b7 Perform additional duties as assigned in support of Bureau objectives and needs. _Position Type_: Full-Time/Exempt. Our hybrid model may include some remote workdays for the successful candidate. An active driveru2019s license as travel across Massachusetts is required.
