Job Summary and Qualifications The Transfer Center Analytics Supervisor is responsible for providing high quality, timely analysis of a Clinical Command Center operations to stakeholders at all levels of the company. He/she is responsible for the creation and management of reports/reporting tools to support financial analysis, evaluate strategic initiatives, and drive departmental process improvements. He/she is also responsible for maintaining the quality of Clinical Command Center data by ensuring adherence to documentation and quality standards. He/she also has additional responsibilities to provide support to the AVP Finance and Analytics related to enterprise reporting and select management tasks associated with leading a team of analysts. What you will do in this role: + Provides strategic direction of data and reporting capabilities for all functions within a Clinical Command Center (Transfer Center, Behavioral Health Access & Referral Center (ARC), Centralized Patient Placement, and Command Center expediting functions.) + Works directly with division and corporate leaders to identify strategic opportunities and participates actively in the development and monitoring of KPIs for any resulting projects. + Actively manages a suite of recurring reports (daily/weekly/monthly/etc.) and reporting tools (i.e. dashboards) to ensure stakeholders have robust, timely, and accurate data to drive strategic decision making and monitor departmental performance. + Adds/removes/modifies data and reporting elements proactively to enhance clarity, efficiency, and value of all reports. + Systematically/independently identifies critical trends and communicates them proactively to the center RVP and department leaders, developing additional reports/tools to support further analysis as needed and to support facility and service line requirements. + Serves as the primary liaison between other analytics departments to ensure accurate use of transfer data and develop cross-departmental reporting tools as appropriate. + Leads efforts related to productivity and performance reporting, partnering with department leaders to highlight key trends and opportunity areas. + Provides support to the AVP Finance and Analytics on department managerial tasks (new analyst training and onboarding, continued skill development for existing analysts, administrator for departmental workflow/documentation, etc.) + Creates and maintains a suite of reports to monitor staff compliance with process and data standards. Partners with center leadership to address documentation quality issues at the department and employee level. + Maintains an extremely high level of customer service by responding to all requests quickly and accurately. + Provides education, training, and technical support to department staff on workflow/documentation applications. + Serves as the primary admin for departmental workflow/documentation applications. (e.g. manages access, troubleshooting, settings, and data dictionaries) What qualifications you will need: + Bacheloru2019s degree in information management, healthcare information, computing, accounting, mathematics, statistics, or related fields + 4+ years of analytics experience working with large scale centralized patient transfers centers, patient placement centers, or clinical command centers + Demonstrated ability to use a combination of applications and tools to complete analysis, including but not limited to database tools, analytics tools (PowerBI, Qlikview, Qliksense, Tableau), and Office applications. + Excellent analytical and data management skills, with experience querying and combining related data from different types of databases/systems (including SQL queries, application data exports and Excel) into a single report/analysis effort. + Knowledge of generally accepted database design methodologies and querying tools (SQL, Access) + Experience developing and maintaining dashboards and using web reporting applications + Advanced skill with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (Additional familiarity with SharePoint, Visio, and Access preferred) + Expert skill in Microsoft Excel with significant experience using complex formulas, pivot tables, charts, macros/VBA, data connections/queries + Ability to create compelling, attractive data visualizations in PowerPoint/Excel/BI tools to highlight key findings in their analysis and create executive level summaries + Working knowledge of healthcare servicesu2019 volumes, financial metrics, utilization, and market demographics + Excellent attention to detail, with experience providing high-visibility reporting/analysis to executive level leadership + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience communicating directly with executive level leadership + Excellent time management skills, experience working independently to manage an analysis portfolio of both recurring and ad-hoc reporting across diverse recipients + Shows initiative and creativity, with experience using technology to reduce manual reporting tasks + Ability to learn new systems, platforms, and software packages quickly + Readily adapts to change and is resilient under pressure, with experience completing analysis rapidly on demand and completing multiple iterations in response to customer requests Benefits HCA Healthcare offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
