Police Chief

Salary: $76,923-$97,567 annually, including 5% certification pay, with a full benefits package. Job Description: The Police Chief provides executive leadership for the department, directing all operations, policies, personnel, and strategic initiatives. This role ensures effective community policing, organizational accountability, and alignment with city goals while overseeing all divisions and administrative functions. Qualifications: * Minimum of 10 years supervisory law enforcement experience. * Demonstrated leadership and management experience in a supervisory or command role. * Meets all Oregon DPSST standards and required certifications. * Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills. Job Duties: * Direct all police operations, programs, and personnel. * Oversee hiring, training, performance management, and discipline. * Manage department budgeting, strategic planning, and policy development. * Ensure compliance with state and departmental standards. * Coordinate with city leadership, community members, and partner agencies. * Provide leadership during major incidents and critical events.
