JOB REQUIREMENTS: DR8-19756099 Position Overview Our insurance client isseeking a Full Stack Developer to support a new product initiativewithin an engineering team partnering closely with actuarial andadministrative stakeholders for a 15 month, 40 hour per week, contractrole. The ideal candidate has experience developing applications fromscratch, conducting technical research, and collaborating inenvironments with evolving requirements. Eligible candidates must beable to work onsite in Milwaukee 3 days per week. Top QualificationsNeeded 5+ years of professional full stack engineering experience,including having built applications from the ground up, preferably inthe insurance, banking or finance space Strong proficiency in React,Java Spring Boot, and/or Node.js, with deep knowledge of front-end tools(React, HTML5, CSS, functional components, hooks, Redux) and back-endframeworks (Node.js with JavaScript or TypeScript, or Java Spring Boot).Demonstrated ability to work in iterative, agile environments, includingconducting technical research, participating in frequentcross-functional meetings, and translating evolving business needs intoengineering solutions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalentprofessional experience Strong working knowledge of: React, HTML5, CSS,functional components, hooks, Redux Node.js (JavaScript or TypeScript)or Java Spring Boot Experience with DevOps practices and Git Experiencebuilding solutions using agile methodologies Relational andnon-relational database experience; Postgres and DynamoDB preferredExperience developing, testing, and pushing code through developmentlifecycle stages Experience with AWS or cloud-based environmentsFamiliarity with API development and integrations (internal andexternal) Understanding of data flows from legacy systems, such asmainframes Ability to perform peer reviews on design and code Solidunderstanding of system design patterns and architectural conceptsStrong communication skills; able to collaborate with technical peersand business-side experts UX/design familiarity or experience usingtools like Figma (nice to have) Comfortable working through ambiguityand contributing to solutioning and discovery work Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop a new internal application supporting annuity reinsuranceprocesses, contributing to both front-end and back-end components.Conduct technical research on tools, languages, integrations, and datastorage approaches to support initial system design. Participate infrequent meetings with engineering, actuarial, and administrative teamsto refine requirements and design solutions. Support iterativedevelopment cycles, including coding, testing, and moving updatesthrough development and testing environments every 2-3 weeks. Buildintegrations with internal systems, cloud services, and futurethird-party partners. Assist in moving data from mainframe systems intocloud-based solutions. Collaborate closely with DevOps resources andfollow Git-based workflows. Contribute to architecture discussions toensure long-term scalability, security, and system reliability. Performpeer reviews on both design artifacts and resulting code. Adapt toevolving requirements and maintain strong communication as theapplication's parameters are refined.
