Duties and Responsibilities Underthe direction of the Department Chair: -Prepare and follow syllabus andteaching plans. -Instruct, manage and supervise individuals and groupsin a professional manner. -Prepare and administer quizzes and exams.-Evaluate and grade student work. -Maintain a minimum of three officehours per course per week. -Be prepared to covert class to online ifnecessary. -Develop and prepare syllabi, lectures, presentations andhandouts for teaching courses. -Stimulate and encourage classdiscussions. -Maintain accurate records of student performance. -Create,administer and grade quizzes. -Be available/responsive to students.-Remain current with trends and development in his/her are of expertise.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Masters Degree preferred orsubstantial progress toward the terminal degree. Preferred Knowledge,Skills and Abilities Undergraduate degree in communication or relatedfield and experience teaching at the college level.
