JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Operations Manager will select, supervise andtrain employees in their respective position to ensure safe,professional and efficient service in branch with over 30 million inrevenue. Establish and maintain high appearancestandards throughout all operations. Practice progressive disciplinewith all employee performance issues. Ensure proper completion ofpaperwork for drivers including truck reports, driver logs and vehicleinspections daily. Conduct an annual review on each employee's jobperformance evaluation and approve any changes to an employee'scompensation. Adhere to all wage and hour guidelines. OperationsEstablish priorities to meet customer service commitments. Directcollection and disposal services to best utilize personnel andequipment. Establish and review productivity standards at each phase ofthe operation. Protect and preserve all assets. Ensure all drivers areDOT compliant. Be familiar with and ensure compliance with all DOTregulations. Enter appropriate product line data into Tower on a dailybasis as needed. Assist in the completion of scheduled route audits.Financial Assist in development and execution of an operation profitplan that includes: Revenue retention & growth Cost of operations Growthobjectives Productivity standards Capital Requirements: Personnel neededEnsure Branch profit margins are met Safety Promote an effective safetyprogram that seeks to prevent accidents, avoid injuries and recognizesafe employees. Investigate accidents and prepare necessary paperwork.Ensure route observations are completed on a routine basis. Schedule,plan, and conduct safety meetings (monthly). Additional ResponsibilitiesRecruit, interview, hire, train and discipline all product linepersonnel. Ensure all employees are dressed in the proper uniformprovided by GFL Environmental. Conform in all respects with applicablelaws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all companypolicies, procedures and directives from supervisors. Perform otherduties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.Requirements: BA or BS Degree desired or equivalent experience. 2-3years experience in waste industry desired. Must be able to meetrelevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Companystandards May require Commercial Driver's License Knowledge, Skills andAbilities: Proven leadership and communication skills. Physical/MentalDemands: Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach,stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear and climb. Visual Requirements: includeclose vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperception, and ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions: Work inoffice environment 80% of the time. Noise level is usually moderate.Work in motor vehicle traffic conditions occasionally Some travelrequired.
