On-Call Temporary Load Master SMELocation: Dayton, OHTravel Requirement: Travel to CONUS location for consecutive days as required by customer.As a Loadmaster SME, you will be responsible for planning, organizing and preparing the training curriculum required for Loadmasters to effectively plan, load, secure and unload cargo and baggage to ensure aircraft safety, balance, and regulatory compliance. This role is critical to safe and efficient flight operations and requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and operational discipline.Who You Are and What You Need:Previous experience as a Loadmaster or in aircraft cargo operationsExperience as a certified Loadmaster for Boeing 737, 747-400F/BCF/SF, 747-8F, 767-300F, 777FPossess Weight & Balance and IATA - Cat 6 Dangerous Goods certificationsStrong understanding of weight and balance calculationsFamiliarity with aircraft loading systems, restraints, and tie-down proceduresAbility to read and interpret load plans, charts, and technical manualsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsPhysically capable of lifting, securing, and inspecting cargoWillingness to work irregular hours, weekends, holidays, and extended deploymentsWhat You Will Do:Prepare and present curriculum material for Loadmaster training class.Calculate aircraft weight and balance, center of gravity, and load distributionPlan and supervise the loading and unloading of cargo, baggage, and special equipmentEnsure cargo is properly secured in accordance with aircraft manuals and safety regulationsVerify cargo documentation, manifests, and hazardous materials complianceConduct preflight and postflight inspections related to cargo and restraint systemsCommunicate closely with pilots, ground crews, and operations staffMonitor cargo conditions during flight when requiredEnforce all safety, security, and regulatory agencies and company policiesRespond to in-flight or ground cargo issues as necessaryWho We Are:Calvert Systems is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business headquartered in Bellevue, Nebraska, with operations in ten states including the District of Columbia.
