Flexibility required to workadditional hours to meet the needs of our customers and operationalworkflow during peak times. STARTING PAY RATE: $15.00 per hour POSITIONSUMMARY This position assists with customer engagement in the Bookstore.Guidance and support are provided by the full-time team. As the firstpoint of contact for customers, the Customer Engagement Specialist playsa key role in delivering exceptional service by warmly welcoming guests,assisting with purchases and inquiries, and supporting all aspects ofdaily retail operation. This position ensures the store is inviting,organized, and fully stocked to create a positive and seamless shoppingexperience. Position is the frontline of the Bookstore Team. Essential Functions Statement(s)Create a positive customer experience by starting with a welcominggreeting, utilizing clear communication skills to ascertain customerneeds, and responding to questions throughout each interaction. Followcash handling and cash register procedures and policies. Assist studentswith course materials questions, retrieving course materials fromBookstore shelves, textbook buyback requests, and payment options.Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, policies, and securitypractices Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise,perform general office work, and complete data entry tasks in theBookstore's inventory management system. Assist with the receiving,pricing and shelving of book and merchandise inventory Maintain thebookstore environment by routinely: stocking merchandise and floordisplays; straightening the sales floor; cleaning shelves, counters andfloors; and removing trash and recycling. Assist with picking,packaging, and shipping NWTC Bookstore website orders. Share customerconcerns and requests with the full team to better inform theimplementation of additional services or acquisition of additionalproduct lines to elevate the customer experience. OTHEREXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKEXPERIENCE High School Graduate Basic computer skills Cash Register andcash handling skills An equivalent combination of education and workexperience may be considered Preferred Qualifications: Previous customerservice and cash handling experience preferred but not required.
