AWS is looking for a Sr. Material and Processes Engineer to become part of a global data center engineering team, responsible for the design and continuous innovation within our rapidly expanding data center footprint. Our Senior Material and Processes Engineers partners with Design Engineers to identify the correct materials and processes for our Data Center systems. We drive continuous advancements and improvements with our designs, and communicate technical direction to Sr. Management. We seek new ways to enhance the reliability, scalability, and cost effectiveness of our engineering designs. Key job responsibilities u2022 Broad materials & processes support for metallic and/or composite materials including: forging, casting, forming, extrusion, plating, coating, friction welding, brazing, anodization, and passivation; solid and sandwich laminates. u2022 Support design, analysis, materials selection, process development, and M&P qualification for data center systems. u2022 Review production drawing for large complex assemblies systematically, documenting the review to the established requirements. u2022 Responsible for M&P signatory release of engineering drawings for parts and assemblies. u2022 Lead and coordinate internal and external M&P efforts, including development of specifications, supplier qualification, First Article Inspection, mechanical testing, and customer-facing updates. u2022 Contribute to the development of internal engineering and quality processes to standardize and accelerate material evaluation, implementation, and qualification. u2022 Work with cross-functional teams within the organization and other business units. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
