SummarySEC Energy is looking for a parts buyer/sales coordinator who will support the South Texas region. The ideal candidate will serve as a frontline inside sales representative with added buying and warehouse responsibilities for our midstream compression packages.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Processes emergency/routine parts orders for the tech service field teamProcesses internal/external customer parts quotes and ordersCreates purchase orders based upon parts needs and submits to appropriate vendorsSuggest parts recommendations to external customersPerform warehouse functions such asshipping/receiving, validating orders to ensure delivery accuracyDelivering and picking up parts from vendors and customers as needed (Pull truck is available during work hours)Maintains appropriate inventory recordsExpedites critical parts when neededProcesses vendor return authorizations for damaged and poor quality productsMakes inventory corrections, adjustments and prices changesMaintain and track all core returns to vendors for creditsAssists in bi-annual parts physical inventory countsCommunicate and follow up with various vendors/customers for order updates Requirements: Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: High School diploma or GED A.A. Degree preferred not required 0 - 2 years minimum in the field or in a related area Communication and customer service Excellent organizational skills SAP experience is a plus Knowledge with Ariel compressors and Caterpillar/Waukesha engines is a plus Proficient in Excel and Access, Word, Microsoft Office and any other required software that is used. The Parts Coordinator must have the ability to calculate figure amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic math Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations that may not be addressed by existing policies, procedures or protocols. Decisions include such matters as changes of policies and regulations, order in which work is done, and application of established procedures. Working Conditions The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work within office, warehouse and shop, and field environments Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing Travel, when required Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting up to 50 pounds Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
