The Radiographic Testing (RT) Trainee position is a structured development role designed for individuals preparing to achieve RT Level II certification within twelve (12) months. This role provides hands-on radiographic testing experience, formal training, and on-the-job training (OJT) under the supervision of certified personnel. Each trainee is assigned a dedicated buddy to support skill development, OJT hour completion, and milestone achievement.Salary: $22- $24/hr DOESuccessful completion of certification and qualification requirements will provide the opportunity to work onsite at client locations, with per diem eligibility, supporting radiographic inspection services across a variety of projects and environments.Participate in formal training and OJT to meet RT Level II certification requirementsPerform radiographic testing activities under supervision, progressing toward independent workAssist with standard and routine RT inspections in accordance with written procedures and applicable codesSet up, calibrate, and operate radiographic testing equipment as training progressesAccurately record inspection results and support data review and reporting activitiesFollow all safety, quality, and procedural requirementsWork closely with assigned buddy, Level II, and Level III personnel to complete required OJT hourDemonstrate technical competency through successful completion of milestones, examinations, and evaluationsCommunicate progress, challenges, and training needs to supervisionHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or coursework preferredAbility and commitment to achieve RT Level II certification within 12 months of hireBasic understanding or exposure to NDT principles preferredAbility to follow detailed technical procedures and instructionsBasic math skills; ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts preferredStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracyGood written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a teamSelf-motivated, dependable, and proactive in learningAbility to progressively work with reduced supervision as competence increasesElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
