Start a career with us today!The general role of a Network/Telecom Technician is to install, maintain, and troubleshoot data network infrastructure. This includes routers, switches, and cabling.The Network/Telecom Technician ensures reliable connectivity by performing routine maintenance, testing equipment, and resolving connectivity issues to keep network systems running efficiently.This individual will receive guidance from leadership and should be responsive to customer questions or concerns and address any issues in a timely manner.The Network/Telecom Technician reports to the Electronic Security and Safety Department Manager and works primarily out of the Morgantown location.Management of IT infrastructure - Hardware setup, customer network support, Endpoint support in field.Troubleshoot and support all IT connected devicesRemediate Security vulnerabilities and perform/request appropriate action from respective items/teamsCollaborate with Operations across multiple groups to meet current and future continuous improvement project goalsAbility to assist with deploying/troubleshooting networking solutions on premise, cloud, or hybrid.Provide Technical support and on-site troubleshooting/repair for customers.Responding to phone calls and texts after hours and on weekends within a timely mannerExperience and Skills in documenting all work performed daily to build complete customer work historyOther duties as assignedBasic knowledge of control and electrical system designDemonstrate ability in supporting and troubleshooting IT network connected devicesExperience with Routers/Switches, Wireless, Firewall and SecurityVMWare experience is recommendedSkills on TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, SMTP, Web Technologies, Security tools and Firewalls policiesWindows desktop and server operating systemsIOS systemsProficient with MS Office productivity softwareAbility to efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goalsAbility to balance multiple projectsCritical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills, able to work independently and in team environmentsProactive, resourceful, and highly motivated with good communication skills and ability to work in high output environmentAbility to maintain professionalism while interacting with customers, with an aptitude to answer technical questions in a simplified mannerAble to work a flexible schedule and adjust to changing business needs including possible emergency call-out, extended hours and some out-of-town and overnight workWilling to participate in the company’s required background and drug screening processValid driver’s license requiredWorking ConditionsWalk, crawl, talk, see, read, hear, feel, sit, stand, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, grasp and climb with both hands and legs for extended periods of timeLift and/or move up to 75 poundsClimb at heights of 300’+ for extended periods of timeWork outdoors in a variety of weather conditionsAdditional Eligibility QualificationsThis position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
