Wellsite Geologist

We are seeking two experienced Operations / Wellsite Geologists (Development Geologist II or III) for an office-based role in Houston. These individuals will support development well planning, drilling execution, and well placement activities for unconventional assets. One hire will ideally bring experience in Appalachia assets and the other in South Oklahoma, though strong candidates from other unconventional basins may also be considered.This role will work closely with remote operations teams and onsite mudloggers to ensure optimal well placement, efficient drilling execution, and integration of geologic data into the broader development strategy.Create and execute development plans for unconventional drilling programsSupport development well planning and well placement activitiesOversee drilling activities and monitor geologic executionWork with remote operations teams and onsite mudloggers to ensure optimal well placementCoordinate drilling activities across multiple disciplines, including Land, Regulatory, Reservoir Engineering, and DrillingInterpret subsurface and drilling-related geologic dataIntegrate geologic findings into the overall development conceptProvide geologic support during active drilling operations8-12 years of experience as a geoscientist in oil and gasMinimum 5 years of experience in unconventional developmentMinimum 2 years of experience supporting active drilling operationsMaster’s degree or higher requiredExperience in Appalachia or Oklahoma unconventional assets strongly preferredProficiency in Petra, Kingdom, and PetrelStrong data interpretation skillsGeosteering experience is a plus, but not requiredLocal candidates preferredMust be comfortable with minimal field travelMust meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, fit for duty and agility.
