This position has a pay rate of $19.00 per hour with comprehensive benefits effective the first of the month follow 30 days of employment. Core ResponsibilitiesFacility Cleaning & SanitationClean and disinfect common areas, restrooms, offices, dormitory spaces, kitchens, and program rooms.Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.Remove trash and recycling; ensure proper disposal procedures.Restock hygiene products such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.Deep-clean high‑traffic areas per established schedules.Maintenance SupportPerform minor repairs (e.g., replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, minor patching walls, painting, basic plumbing (clogs, leak)).Report safety hazards, facility issues, or equipment needing repair.Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, salt application, or outdoor tidying.Conduct routine inspections of building systems and report issues promptly. Coordinate vendor visits and support larger repair projects as directed.Safety & ComplianceFollow cleaning protocols that meet public health, sanitation, and facility standards.Maintain safe storage and use of cleaning supplies and chemicals using proper PPE.Support emergency cleaning needs as they arise.Assist with emergency procedures (e.g., fire drills, incident response).Operations SupportSet up rooms for meetings, programs, or events.Assist with room turnover for new residents.Assist with moving furniture or supplies as needed.Work collaboratively with staff to ensure a welcoming environment for all residents.Provide courteous and respectful support in a trauma‑informed environment.Performance MetricsFacility uptime and operational efficiency.Compliance with safety and regulatory standards.Staff satisfaction and retention within the operations team.Timeliness and quality of facility improvement projects.QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred. ExperiencePrior custodial, facility or maintenance experience helpful but not required. Skills & KnowledgeAbility to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies, tools, and safe handling practices. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
