Wherever there’s pavement, there’s PRS.The HR Generalist is responsible for HR related duties in the areas of recruiting including applicant tracking, all aspects of the companies onboarding process, maintain personnel records, employee relations, administering benefit enrollments and employment law compliance.Primary ResponsibilitiesPartners with hiring managers and administration to identify personnel needs and then develop detailed and compliant job descriptions for appropriate job positionsOrganize and coordinate recruiting process (creates job postings, manage on-line postings/ATS, schedule interviews, administer assessments, extend offers, prepare new hire paperwork)Organize and implements the onboarding process for new hires (conduct new hire orientation, present and explain benefit offerings, and provide employees with a welcoming and inclusive experience)Assess potential candidates for fit within position (skills, education, competency, culture alignment)Modifies and creates job descriptions as neededProvides employee relations support for employees and managers, including resolving issuesKnowledge of Benefits (Medical/Dental/Vision/ Vol. Life/STD/LTD/FSAAssists in 401k and medical benefits enrollment administrationAssists HR department during open enrollmentAssists with leaves of absenceProvides HR reports as neededParticipates in continuous HR improvement initiatives and metricsMaintains confidentiality and accurate HR filesPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsProven experience as an HR Generalist/RecruiterUnderstanding of general human resource policies and proceduresStrong knowledge of recruiting and onboardingKnowledge of employment/labor lawsAptitude in problem-solvingAttention to detail and analytically drivenDesire to work as a team with a results driven approachDemonstrates excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, high-quality document, and report preparationMust be well organized to meet heavy workloads and be able to effectively manage multiple tasksRequires experience with various computer software programs (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, HRIS)Must demonstrate strong ethics, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learningExcellent presentation skills and knowledge of employment laws such as ERISA, COBRA, ADA, and other Federal and State laws covering discrimination and Equal Opportunity Employment (EEO)Proven ability to successfully work as a team member and to build and maintain a positive work environment across the networkExperience working in an entrepreneurial environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilitiesEducation and/or Experience5 - 7 years of experience in a Generalist HR role3+ years of experience in Recruiting/OnboardingBachelor’s Degree or equivalent post-secondary degree preferred, or equivalent experienceExperience with assessing talentPrior construction experience preferredMust have good business written and oral communication skills and effective listening skillsFluent in English and Spanish is preferredMust have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving recordStrong customer service skillsPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
