We’re passionate about providing healthcare professionals the most valuable and complete solutions to improve hospital efficiency and enhance patient care.Job SummaryPerforms multiple tasks associated with in-house calibration, repair, and maintenance of Werfen Transfusion instrumentation and parts. Responsible for in-house instrumentation for Neo, Echo, and Manual Capture Workstation systems utilized in customer training, production, product investigation lab and technical traininglabs.Key AccountabilitiesRepair and refurbishment of instruments and parts to meet Sales forecast demands and service replacement parts needsPerforms installation, servicing and maintenance relative to in-house instruments used in training, production and product investigation labsInspect and process returned parts and instruments from Field Service and customers into inventory controlEvaluate and prepare Demo and Clinical Trail instruments prior to use at external sitesRepair customer owned Manual capture Workstation EquipmentKeep and maintain accurate records of duties performed using appropriate documentation for all repairs, maintenance, RMAs, parts shipments, etc.Coordinate and assist with shipment of parts from the main office to OEMs and vice versaOperate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to move instruments and other service related materials to and from storage crates and locations within the companyPerforms other duties and responsibilities as assignedReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Networking/Key RelationshipsAd-hoctroubleshooting assistance with field service staff and attend meetings with field service when neededCommunication with departmentowners of instrumentation and equipment and provide updated turnaround of repaired equipmentInteracts cooperatively with co-workers and receives direction well from managersDisplays ability to be an effective team memberCommunicate with internal departments and external vendors in regards to departmentalprojects and resource needs. Able to discuss status of projects and needs and appropriate turnaround time.Minimum Knowledge & Experience for the position:Education: Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from a four-year college or university; or equivalentcombination of education and experienceManagement has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.Skills & CapabilitiesAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and proceduresAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situationsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.Ability to effectively troubleshoot, test, and repair electronics boards, motors, fluidics systems, and other instrument components. Other clinical engineering experience with medical devices as neededDisplays PC skills with Microsoft Office (word and Excel) and other desktop applications at a basic level.Travel Requirements:Minimal travel may be required from time to time.The annual base salary range for this role is currently $33.00/hr to $40.00/hr.
