Microbiology Laboratory Technician Location: Doral, FL Temp to Hire Role Schedule: Monday- Friday first shift, with Mondays starting as early as 4am, Overtime and weekend work expected Position Summary This role supports environmental monitoring (EM) activities in a cleanroom manufacturing environment for HCPTs, medical devices, and biologics. The position is focused on environmental monitoring sample collection, plate inspection, and data review , rather than traditional microbiology laboratory testing. The successful candidate will apply approved microbiological techniques and methodologies to ensure cleanroom compliance with cGMP standards. This role requires early morning testing schedules , flexibility to support production needs, and experience working within regulated cleanroom environments . Essential Duties & Responsibilities u2022 Perform routine environmental monitoring (EM) of cleanroom manufacturing areas and personnel. u2022 Conduct EM activities including viable air, non-viable air, viable surface, and personnel monitoring . u2022 Inspect and review environmental monitoring plates to ensure compliance with established limits and standards. u2022 Review and reconcile environmental monitoring samples at the end of production to ensure all required samples were collected. u2022 Track and trend environmental monitoring data to support quality and regulatory compliance. u2022 Participate in cleanroom validations, EMPQs, and media fill activities . u2022 Support investigations related to environmental monitoring excursions or test failures (OOS). u2022 Perform all activities using proper aseptic technique and sterile gowning procedures . u2022 Maintain media and reagents needed for environmental monitoring activities. u2022 Assist with scheduling priorities to support production timelines and team goals. u2022 Follow established safety, hygiene, and regulatory procedures within the cleanroom environment. u2022 Complete required training and maintain compliance with SOPs and quality standards. u2022 Other duties as assigned. Skills & Abilities u2022 Strong knowledge of environmental monitoring practices in regulated cleanroom environments u2022 Familiarity with cGMP and GLP requirements u2022 Ability to maintain detailed documentation and review environmental monitoring data u2022 Strong attention to detail and adherence to aseptic technique u2022 Ability to work independently and within fast-paced manufacturing environments Position Expertise / Qualifications u2022 Associateu2019s degree in Microbiology or related scientific field required u2022 Minimum 2 years of environmental monitoring or cleanroom microbiology experience preferred u2022 Prior experience working in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred Physical Requirements u2022 Sedentary work requiring standing and/or sitting u2022 Ability to operate in a cleanroom environment for up to 5 hours at a time u2022 Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds u2022 Color vision and depth perception required As part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
