Job Title: Dimensional EngineerJob Description We are seeking a highly skilled Dimensional Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dimensional engineering and tolerance analysis, with the ability to perform comprehensive dimensional analysis, manage tolerance stacks, and collaborate effectively with quality assurance teams. Responsibilities + Perform dimensional analysis and work with quality control processes. + Develop and manage tolerance stacks to ensure parts fit and function correctly. + Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements. + Support simulation to help confirm process, design, tooling, and structure. + Build tolerance simulation/analysis models in 3DCS. + Create documents capturing datum targets, GD&T callouts, nominal values with tolerances for gap and flush requirements, and feature points for measurement. + Develop product GD&T with customer and plant input. + Utilize tolerance stack analysis methods such as Worst Case Analysis, Root Sum Squared (RSS) Analysis, and Monte Carlo Simulation to predict assembly dimension distribution. + Collaborate with quality assurance teams to resolve dimensional issues and improve manufacturing processes. + Maintain detailed documentation of the simulation process, assumptions, and results. + Prepare comprehensive reports to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Essential Skills + Bacheloru2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. + 3+ years of experience in dimensional engineering or tolerance analysis. + Proficiency (3-5 years experience) in 3DCS, Catia V5, GD&T, and tolerance stack methodologies. + Strong understanding of engineering drawings, CAD tools, and manufacturing processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Minimum of 1 year of working-level experience in 3DCS Software. + 2 to 5 years of experience as a Dimensional Engineer. + Experience developing GD&T from scratch. + Experience with tolerance simulation, considering parts, weld/install fixtures, assembly order, and process sequence. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Six Sigma certification is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Raymond, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $50.00/hr.
