Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Lynnwood, Washington. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing vendor accounts, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payments. This role offers a mix of remote and in-office work, with four days in the office and one day working remotely. Responsibilities: u2022 Accurately record invoices, credits, and adjustments in the accounts payable ledger. u2022 Review vendor statements and payment requests to verify payment status and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Process employee expense reports and credit card statements in accordance with company policies. u2022 Prepare payment batches and ensure proper approvals and purchase order matching. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to maintain accurate financial records and provide support. u2022 Handle incoming mail, including depositing checks as required. u2022 Assist in audit preparation by organizing financial documentation and schedules. u2022 Serve as a backup for other accounts payable personnel when needed. u2022 Investigate vendor payment histories and analyze spending trends. u2022 Support the integration of new accounting tools and systems. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and account reconciliation. u2022 Familiarity with ACH payments, check runs, and other payment methods. u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies. u2022 Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and vendors. u2022 Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. u2022 Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. u2022 Experience with accounting software and advanced computer skills.
