Journeyman Plumber Overview This position is for a licensed journeyman plumber who is active in the state of Illinois. This role will be working under the supervision of a foreman or superintendent and will be mostly focused on new build residential and commercial projects in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Responsibilities + Install plumbing lines throughout new-build structures, running lines from the ground level up through the building. + Connect and set up fixtures including sinks, showers, hose lines, and related components. + Work exclusively on interior/building structure plumbingu2014no groundu2011work or excavation required. + Utilize personal basic hand tools and wrenches for daily tasks; specialized tools and equipment will be supplied by the company. + Ensure all work meets safety standards, project specifications, and quality expectations. + Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete installations efficiently and accurately. Skills + Plumbing installation skills for running lines, connecting fixtures, and working within newu2011build structures. + Ability to read and follow blueprints or layout drawings for proper pipe routing and fixture placement. + Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools (wrenches, pliers, cutters, etc.). + Experience installing sinks, showers, hose lines, and other basic plumbing components. + Knowledge of proper pipe fittings, connections, and leaku2011prevention techniques. + Ability to work safely within active construction environments and follow company safety standards. + Basic troubleshooting skills to identify installation issues or alignment problems. + Attention to detail to ensure clean, accurate, and codeu2011compliant installations. + Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines. + Physical capability to lift, bend, climb, and work inside multiu2011level structures.
