What Youu2019ll Be Doing + Operating forklifts to load, unload, move, and stage materials with accuracy and care. + Handling large, heavy, or awkward freight while keeping safety front and center. + Working in a railu2011served environment, supporting loading and unloading operations tied to railcars and yard activity. + Inspecting forklifts daily and reporting any issues before they become problems. + Keeping track of inventory movement and ensuring materials are placed in the right locations. + Communicating with supervisors, yard personnel, and team members to keep operations running smoothly. + Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work areau2014because clutter and forklifts donu2019t mix. + Following all safety procedures, including PPE requirements, lockout/tagout, and equipment protocols. ? What You Bring + Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, yard, or industrial environment. + Ability to safely handle heavy or oversized materials. + Strong awareness of surroundings and commitment to safe operation. + Comfort working outdoors or in changing weather conditions. + Ability to follow instructions, communicate clearly, and work as part of a coordinated team. + Basic understanding of inventory flow and material handling processes. + Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethicu2014because the team counts on you ? Physical Side of the Job + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when needed. + Working on your feet, climbing in and out of forklifts, and navigating a busy yard environment. + Exposure to outdoor conditions, rail activity, and industrial noise. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Elwood, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
