Job Title: Lead Service Technician Job Description The Lead Service Technician is responsible for leading crews in the comprehensive repair and maintenance of mobile office trailers commonly found on commercial construction sites. This includes tasks from start to finish, ensuring quality repairs and modifications are completed to customer satisfaction. Responsibilities + Lead crews in repairing mobile office trailers, including tasks related to framing, carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, and running gear. + Conduct check-in/out inspections of off-rent trailers to determine the scope of repairs and any damages for invoicing. + Create floor plan drawings as necessary and perform modifications as requested by customers. + Maintain proper inventory levels of tools, parts, and equipment necessary for service tasks. + Provide courteous customer service, explaining repairs and services to customers both over the phone and in person. + Ensure trailers are ready for delivery on scheduled dates, meeting quality standards. + Perform service-related tasks in the yard and complete appropriate paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls. + Conduct HVAC system checks and maintenance according to company guidelines. + Undertake duties at field locations as business needs dictate. Essential Skills + Basic carpentry knowledge + Basic electrical and wiring skills, including wiring ethernet cables and phones + Ability to operate a company vehicle safely; must maintain a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record + HVAC Certification - EPA Type II, III, or Universal Additional Skills & Qualifications + Plumbing knowledge + Experience with EPDM/Metal roofing + Cat 6 cabling skills Why Work Here? Additionally, an average annual pay increase of 5% is offered. Work Environment The Lead Service Technician will work both independently and as part of a team of 2 to 3 others to repair trailers. Repairs are conducted outdoors in favorable weather, with warehouses available during colder seasons. The role involves driving to job sites for inspections, repairs, and installations. The work week typically consists of 45-50 hours, with shifts from 6 am to 3/4 pm, Monday through Friday, and occasional Saturdays during peak season. Start times shift to 7 am during slower periods. Steel toe boots are required for work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wayland, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
