Description We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java, Spring Boot, AWS) to support the design, development, and maintenance of law enforcement applications and web services. This role involves new feature development, modernization initiatives, and migration of .NET monolithic systems into microservices. The platform also includes React applications, mobile apps, and Electron-based desktop applicationsu2014requiring the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot across the full technology stack. You will collaborate closely with Developers, Cloud Engineers, Cybersecurity professionals, and Quality Engineers while contributing to a highly secure, resilient, and modern cloud-native environment. Key Responsibilities: u00b7 Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure software using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate. u00b7 Support modernization projects including migration of .NET monoliths to microservices architecture. u00b7 Contribute across the full stack, including .NET services, React applications, mobile apps, and Electron desktop applications, assisting with debugging and issue resolution. u00b7 Collaborate with Cloud, Security, and QA teams to deliver highu2011quality solutions and improve platform resilience. u00b7 Maintain clear documentation for code, processes, and application architecture. u00b7 Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and organizational policies. u00b7 Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing. u00b7 Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Requirements Qualifications: u00b7 8u20139 years of professional experience in software development. u00b7 Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science or related field. u00b7 Strong handsu2011on experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot. u00b7 Proven experience building and deploying cloud solutions on AWS. u00b7 Solid understanding of microservices architectures and distributed systems. u00b7 Ability to work across multiple tech stacks, including .NET backends, React frontu2011ends, mobile, and Electron desktop applications. u00b7 Experience with DevSecOps tools such as Wiz, TruffleHog, Dependabot, and Checkmarx. u00b7 Ability to identify and execute actions that strengthen system resilience and security posture. u00b7 Strong troubleshooting skills across complex, multiu2011source systems. Preferred Qualifications: u00b7 Masteru2019s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. u00b7 Experience participating in larger modernization efforts or legacyu2011tou2011microservices migration. u00b7 Background supporting law enforcement or highu2011security application environments. u00b7 Familiarity with Terragrunt, Terraform, and AWS infrastructure automation. u00b7 Experience improving test coverage, CI/CD automation, or documentation quality. u00b7 Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to collaborative technical discussions.
