Appliance Repair Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Appliance Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and/or commercial appliances. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience repairing major household appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair major household appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, stoves, microwaves, and dishwashers Perform troubleshooting to identify mechanical, electrical, or system issues Repair or replace defective parts such as motors, belts, heating elements, and control boards Provide cost estimates for repairs and explain recommended services to customers Test appliances after repair to ensure proper operation Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation Provide professional customer service when interacting with clients Follow safety procedures and manufacturer repair guidelines Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment Qualifications: Previous appliance repair experience preferred Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical diagrams Experience using hand tools, diagnostic tools, and testing equipment Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Valid driver’s license required Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods Ability to move and position appliances safely Preferred Skills: Certification in appliance repair (EPA certification a plus for refrigeration) Experience with multiple appliance brands Experience with both residential and commercial appliances
