Early Childhood Teacher u2013 Special Needs & Medically Fragile Program Full-Time u2022 40 Hours/Week u2022 Contract: April 14, 2026 u2013 August 2026 Location: Baltimore, MD Client Interview: Required (Virtual) About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to support children ages Infantu20134 years who are medically fragile or identified as having special needs. This role focuses on early learning, developmental growth, and meaningful engagement with children who require additional behavioral, developmental, or medical support. The Early Childhood Teacher will provide programming focused on early literacy, numeracy, and social skills, while forming strong partnerships with families to support individualized outcomes. You will work with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and young learners in a specialized educational setting. Position Details + Title: Early Childhood Teacher + Hours: 40 per week + Contract Length: 5 months + Start Date: April 14, 2026 + Population: Students ages 3u20135 who are medically fragile, on the autism spectrum, or identified as special needs + Orientation: 1u20132 days onsite; observation period before transition into full duties Minimum Requirements Education + High school diploma (required) + Bacheloru2019s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) Early Childhood Certification u2013 Total 90 Hours + 45 hours in child development + 45 hours in curriculum planning Infant/Toddler Coursework (if applicable) + Additional 45 hours specialized training + Totaling 90 hours for infant/toddler specialization Required Certificates + 9-hour Communication certificate + 3-hour ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) certificate + Basic Health & Safety certificate Health Requirements + Mandatory medical health screenings + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable) + Current CPR (if applicable) + Current health certificate (as required by state or contract) Background Checks + FBI fingerprinting + State criminal history check + Child Protective Services clearance Additional Skills + Strong organizational abilities + Must meet all federal, state, and local regulations + Must be at least 18 years old Why This Role Matters This position provides critical support to young learners with unique medical and developmental needs.
