THE WORK Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Shift Hardware Engineer with an active TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance to join our development team in Hanover, MD. This is an EMERGING PROFESSIONAL (level 2) ROLE where candidates typically require 1+ years of professional experience and a BS degree. Continuous rotating Shift Hardware Engineering & Maintenance Team position supporting operations and maintenance for large scale RF Communicationu2019s system operating in real time 24x7 environment. Primary responsibility will be to provide operations and maintenance shift support for a large, integrated, complex hardware-software communications system. As Shift Hardware Engineer you will: u2022 Provide preventative and corrective maintenance support across multiple external interfaces over a robust multi-tiered network. u2022 Direct interaction with ops customer and mission partners is required to provide technical assessment and operational work around recommendations. Daily activities may include, but are not limited to: u2022 Discrepancy report work off and resolution, O&M training/mentoring, trending, procedure development, data collection, fault isolation, and performing real-time manual actions to restore system capabilities. u2022 Assistance in development of troubleshooting/recovery plans and execution of associated management and customer briefs may also be required. u2022 Participation in corrective maintenance will require remove/replace, repair, and testing failed hardware. u2022 Candidate will work closely with delivering factories to provide support to development activities, installation efforts, and special test configurations. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Must be available to work 1st and 3rd shifts through a weekly rotation that includes two weekends a month to support 24x7 staffing requirements. u2022 Knowledge of networks, IT systems, and real-time software applications supporting communications systems u2022 Must be able to climb multiple sets of stars, lift/carry up to 50lbs, and work in non-environment-controlled work spaces. u2022 An active TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance is required for consideration Desired Skills: u2022 Knowledge of RF communications antennas u2022 Leadership experience on small maintenance teams u2022 Information Technology experience with an IAT level 1 certification. u2022 Proven working knowledge of varied test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum/link/network analyzers, power meters and signal generation equipment. u2022 Knowledge and experience with facility support systems for RF terminal systems (power, HVAC, etc.) u2022 Prior military electronics and/or satellite communications training/experience u2022 Bachelors degree with 2 years of relevant, professional experience. Equivalent experience/combined education may also be considered (5 years of experience with no college degree) u2022 Minimum of 2 years technical experience with RF communication antennas and associated transmit and receive hardware systems. On the job training (OJT) will be provided to the selected candidate specific to unique subsystems. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: Rotating 40 hour week as assigned by leader Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
