Safety Manager u2013 12u2011Month Contract Actalent is seeking a Safety Manager for a 12u2011month contract supporting Mortenson. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and company safety and occupational health regulations across active construction projects. The Safety Manager will provide onu2011site safety leadership, training, and support to maintain a safe working environment and help ensure every employee returns u201cHome Healthy u2013 Home Safe.u201d Per Diem is offered for this position. Key ResponsibilitiesSite Safety Leadership + Investigate all incidents and near misses; report findings to Mortenson. + Attend required Mortenson safety meetings. + Conduct regular safety meetings with tradespersons on project safety practices and requirements. + Manage jobsite safety documentation and ensure compliance with the projectu2019s Siteu2011Specific Safety Plan (SSSP). + Perform written daily safety inspections and make documentation available for review. + Take direction from Mortenson regarding hazard abatement and control. Training & Compliance + Conduct safety training sessions for employees and trades. + Lead or participate in incident investigations and emergency response activities. + Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and implement corrective actions. + Monitor and enforce compliance with OSHA, company, and project safety standards. + Coach, mentor, and promote safety culture across regional teams. Administrative & Technical Duties + Track corrective actions through closure. + Maintain accurate and organized jobsite safety documentation. + Support permitting, specialized training needs, and safety program administration. + Communicate safety expectations clearly, verbally and in writing. Required Qualifications + 3u20135 years of construction experience, including 2+ years in onu2011site construction safety. + OSHA 500u2011hour Construction Outreach Training (or higher). + Specialized safety training relevant to construction operations. + Strong working knowledge of construction safety regulations and hazardu2011control methods. + Demonstrated ability to conduct safety training. Preferred Skills & Attributes + Safety, OSHA compliance, OSHA 510/500, CSP, Construction Safety experience. + Strong computer proficiency (documentation, reporting, tracking). + High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. + Selfu2011motivated with strong followu2011up ability. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Demonstrated understanding of risk, liability, and safety management. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
