Job Summary and Qualifications Position Summary: The Rehab Technician contributes to high quality, patient-centered care by performing nonprofessional supportive therapy functions, under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. The Rehab Technician assists in the setup, cleaning, and maintenance of therapeutic equipment. The Rehab Technician accepts other responsibilities as needed, including patient transport, departmental clerical duties, inventory maintenance, and other assigned tasks. Responsibilities: + Distributes Inpatient Rehab Therapy schedules. + Transports patients to and from the nursing unit to scheduled therapy sessions. Assists in draping, dressing and undressing, and positioning patients for treatment as needed. + Performs selected treatment procedures commensurate with training under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. Adheres to treatment precautions, as directed by therapist. + Communicates changes in patient status promptly and accurately to licensed therapy personnel. + Assists in documenting patient treatments and completing ancillary charge review, under the direction of the licensed therapist. + Cleans and maintains all therapeutic equipment and assists in setup as directed. + Cleans and disinfects therapy mats, tables, and other surfaces after use. Maintains linens and other supplies in therapy areas. + Maintains a clean, hazard-free patient environment. + Works within the rehabilitation team in providing relevant patient information regarding patient activity. + Assists nursing staff during patient meal times, as assigned. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Practices and adheres to the u201cCode of Conductu201d and u201cMission and Value Statement.u201d Qualifications: Required: + Basic Life Saving (BLS) Preferred: + High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent + Rehab Tech Course + Certified Rehab Tech Benefits Wesley Rehabilitation Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
