Payroll Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations while demonstrating excellent communication and multitasking abilities. Responsibilities: u2022 Accurately process payroll, including generating paystubs, paychecks, and handling direct deposits. u2022 Maintain and update client files and employee records with precision. u2022 Calculate and process payroll taxes for federal and state agencies to ensure compliance. u2022 Prepare detailed reports and complete necessary documentation for audits, verifications, and benefits. u2022 File and remit monthly and quarterly payroll taxes on time. u2022 Complete and submit quarterly and annual payroll tax forms, including 940, 941, W-2/W-3, and 1099. u2022 Manage payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly. u2022 Ensure adherence to all applicable tax and wage laws while handling payroll tasks. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in payroll processing within a fast-paced work environment. u2022 Comprehensive understanding of tax regulations and wage laws. u2022 Familiarity with standard fiscal procedures and practices. u2022 Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software. u2022 Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to manage deadlines effectively. u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. u2022 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. u2022 Solid understanding of payroll calculations and processes beyond basic data entry.
