For more information, please visitWhat We DoAs a Commercial Title Examiner atFirst American, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that large-scalereal estate transactions, from office buildings to multi-propertyportfolios, close smoothly and securely. You'll analyze public records,verify ownership, and identify potential title issues whilecollaborating with underwriters and clients. We'll give you the tools,training, and support to thrive. What You'll Do Manage a variety ofprojects that range in complexity from single to multi-propertycommercial transactions where every detail matters. Search, examine andconnect data across counties and jurisdictions. Verify legal propertydescriptions, including reading, interpreting, and plotting. Review andanalyze public records such as leases, subleases, deeds, liens, andeasements to determine ownership and any title-related restrictions.Summarize findings and prepare title commitments and reports withprecision and clarity. Identify and resolve discrepancies or missinginformation through careful research and documentation. Collaborate withunderwriters and internal partners to ensure accuracy and efficiency inthe title process. What You'll Bring At least 3 years of directlyrelated commercial title insurance experience in title searching,examining, and writing commitments. Understand relevant legal and realestate terminology. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat/Pro,internet, property data platforms and the ability to learn companysystems.
