JOB REQUIREMENTS: Visionworks of America, Inc d/b/a Visionworks seeks anOptometrist in West Allis, WI. Duties: Practice Optometry in accordancewith the clinical guidelines set forth by the American OptometricAssociation and the American Academy of Optometry. Comply with HIPAApolicies and maintain complete/accurate patient records. Ensure officequality systems are maintained and accurate/processed (MVC claims,equipment, patient records). Establish a positive and professionalDoctor/Patient relationship. Provide highest level of quality, patientcare as it relates to overall general/ocular health. Perform preliminarytesting. Address patients' visual life-style needs (spectacles, contactlenses, sun) and prescribe to meet/exceed those needs. Address allpatients' ocular medical conditions and prescribe to those needs and/orrefer appropriately to other medical professionals as indicated.Collaboration and partnership with Visionworks store team, includingeffective communication with all office and store associates to ensure aseamless patient experience. Accept walk-in patients and fulfill dailyexam needs by working an assigned schedule which includes nights,weekends and Holidays as appropriate. OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: This role requires a Doctorate degree in Optometry orrelated field, plus 2 years of clinical practice experience in Optometryrole. Requires any amount of experience with the following skills:Experience in therapeutic management of anterior and posterior segmentdiseases. Experience in comprehensive eye exams including preciserefraction and prism prescription when needed. Experience in dry eyedisease evaluation and management using schirmers test, tear break uptime and epithelial staining tests. Experience in fitting soft contactlenses including complicated multifocal cases. Experience in diagnosingand treating binocular vision problems such as accommodativeinsufficiency and convergence excess. Experience in effectively treatingcontact lens related complications such as corneal ulcers, cornealneovascularization and giant papillary conjunctivitis. Requires anoptometry license.
