This position plays a key role inplanning for, responding to, and preventing emergencies. This role worksas part of a team responsible for crisis management, infrastructuresecurity, and related critical functions. Under the general supervisionof the Emergency Management Manager, this position facilitates andmanages the development of response plans for crisis, emergencyresponse, continuity of operations, continuity of government,evacuation, logistics, disease outbreak, large population events andother emergency response plans for UW-Madison. This position providesassistance in plan development for UW System which consists of 26campuses with over 200,000 students, faculty and staff. This positionmay require travel to UW System Colleges. This position is considered anessential position for the University Campus. The final schedule workedwill be discussed and agreed upon with UWPD management. In general, thehours will be during business hours Monday-Friday to meet the needs ofUWPD. Occasional work beyond or outside hours agreed upon may berequired during emergencies, special events or as assigned. Thisposition will serve as an on-call staff member on a rotating schedule torespond to after hours and weekend emergencies.
