This role includescompleting minor repairs on grounds equipment and supporting landscapeconstruction projects, which may involve reading landscape plans ordesign instructions. The position also sets up and maintains temporaryirrigation systems as needed throughout campus. Key responsibilitiesinclude turf fertilization, pest management, and accurate recordkeepingrelated to these applications. The role also covers lawn treatments suchas herbicides, fertilizers, compost applications, and aeration for bothcampus and offsite locations. The Facilities Technician II helpsestablish new lawn areas through seeding and sodding and assists withmowing as needed. This position is essential to maintaining and wateringcampus lawn spaces-primarily with hoseend sprinkler applications-andplays a critical role in winter snow removal on the UW-Madison campus.If you're looking for a handson role where you can grow your skills andhelp keep our campus beautiful yearround, we encourage you to applyOngoing/Renewable Full-Time: 100% FTE Hours generally scheduled Monday-Friday, 7:00am- 3:30pm.
