PositionOverview The Senior Scrum Master is accountable for establishing Scrumas defined in the Scrum Guide as well as the Scrum Team'seffectiveness. The Senior Scrum Master's effectiveness lies in theirability to influence without formal authority, drive in establishing aself-managing and versatile team, promote a culture of ongoingenhancement, and guide the team in embracing empiricism throughtransparent inspection and adaptation. The Senior Scrum Master plays acrucial role in ensuring the team consistently enhances their methods oftransforming ideas into valuable increments for both customers and theorganization. This is an hybrid role (3 days per week onsite) based inMadison, WI. Essential Duties Include, but are not limited to, thefollowing: Enable the Product Owner by: Establishing desired product andbusiness outcomes. Maintaining a prioritized Product Backlog.Identifying value and methods of measurement. Understanding capacitylimitations and the ability to accurately forecast when work will becompleted. Enable the Developers by helping them: Grasp the ScrumFramework. Understand the Increment and the Definition of Done. Embracetesting and adopting small batch thinking. Enable the organization by:Assisting with adoption of agile ways of working. Helping build an Agilemindset. Understand and implement our standard Hard Skills: EstablishWays of Working standards for the assigned Scrum Teams including Scrumevents, Definition of Ready, Definition of Done, etc. Ability to utilizeadvanced forecasting models efficiently to aid the team in data drivenanalysis for establishing delivery expectations. Being able tounderstand, interpret and utilize holistic value and delivery-basedmetrics such as throughput, defect rate, cycle time, cost savings,revenue generation, CSAT, etc. Take on various stances depending on thesituation: Teacher - Capable of teaching the Scrum framework and theunderlying pillars of empiricism that it sits on.
