Our team is responsible for improving the producibility of early designs and creating manufacturing plans and processes that support the evolving demands of the Warfighter. What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineer Staff you will be responsible for developing and executing manufacturing processes that enable efficient, highu2011quality production while partnering closely with crossu2011functional stakeholders. + Develop and implement robust manufacturing processes and procedures. + Collaborate with crossu2011functional teams to identify and resolve production issues. + Drive continuous improvements to manufacturing workflows. + Ensure compliance with all quality and safety standards. + Provide technical support and manufacturing feedback on new product designs. Basic Qualifications: Bacheloru2019s degree in related engineering discipline u2022 Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; an Interim Secret clearance is required prior to start u2022 Work experience in a Manufacturing shop environment u2022 A broad base of professional knowledge regarding electromechanical assembly u2022 Professional experience with product manufacturability (DFA), producibility, and/or design for cost (DFC) u2022 Demonstrated skills in team building and leading through influence in a professional setting u2022 Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, including to non-technical personnel u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills Desired Skills: u2022 Experience with the design and manufacturing of complex electromechanical systems u2022 Experience with mechanical assembly, manufacturing tooling design, factory design, and factory flow u2022 Related professional level career experience in production operations u2022 Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification u2022 Experience in program development with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and leadership u2022 Experience in capacity & capital planning u2022 Understanding and wide application of assembly and test methods u2022 First Unit Flow planning & execution u2022 Statement of work and proposal development experience u2022 Experience with Make-Buy generation and strategy u2022 Experience in the design of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handling u2022 Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) knowledge/experience Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
