Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description A client of Insight Global is looking for a embedded software engineer to join a brandu2011new robotics and motor controls initiative within the logistics and automation space. This engineer will play a key role in developing a new lift system and custom robotic platform, coding the robot itself using an inu2011house controller rather than preu2011built solutions. The role is highly handsu2011on and focused on greenfield development, requiring the ability to design, write, and rebuild embedded control modules from scratch in C++ and Python while working closely with hardware, motors, and controllers. A major challenge of the project involves reu2011architecting functionality previously handled by proprietary code, so candidates should be comfortable replacing existing systems and building custom solutions endu2011tou2011end. The ideal background includes strong embedded C++ experience, motor controls, and nonu2011ROS robotics development, with additional exposure to custom firmware, automation, or materialu2011handling systems considered a plus.
