It's more than a career, it's a calling MO-SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital 1201 Grand Worker Type: Regular Job Highlights: Schedule: Hours can vary from 7:00 am - 3:30pm, 7:30 am - 4pm, or 8:00a - 4:30p Monday - Friday (8 hour shifts) and on call as needed. No weekends or holidays Job Summary: Manages the daily operations and patient care services across multiple modalities within Imaging. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES + Develops and leads the implementation of policies, procedures and initiatives for imaging services. + Monitors plans for patient care and assesses quality of patient care. Coordinates services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. + Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements. + Oversees the monitoring of departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. + Ensures on-going compliance with regulatory agencies. + Maintains established productivity standards and supply expense metrics. Accountable for monthly reporting departmental variances, budget, FTE and expense variances with associated action plan. + May perform the duties of a technologist as department staffing levels require. + Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. + Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION + Associate's degree or equivalent years of experience and education. EXPERIENCE + Five years' experience, with two years' in leadership PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + Constant standing and walking. + Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more). + Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. + Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. + Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. + Frequent lifting/moving of patients. + Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry. + Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. + Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors. + Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. + Rare kneeling and sitting.
