Accounting Associate

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team in Saint Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks including managing full-cycle accounts payable, ensuring accuracy in transactional duties, and supporting special projects. This is a permanent, onsite position within a dynamic and growing organization. Responsibilities: + Review and process invoices, including 3-way match, coding to General Ledger, and verifying amounts. + Handle small package and LTL freight invoices, check bills for overcharges, and file freight claims (FedEx, UPS). Download weekly carrier billing reports. + Check that voucher reports match invoice totals. + Charge expenses to the correct accounts and cost centers. + Prepare Accounts Payable checks and ACH payment batches. + Run weekly bank reports and post ACH/auto debit payments; process vendor payments in online portals. + Work with other departments to resolve purchase order, invoice, or payment issues. + Reconcile monthly vendor statements and related transactions. + File and maintain Accounts Payable records. + Keep company information confidential. + Follow all Accounts Payable policies and approval procedures. + Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may adjust over time. Requirements Skills: + 3+ years of experience managing full-cycle accounts payable + Familiarity with purchase orders, freight billings, and freight claims is preferred + Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is a strong advantage. + Proficiency in accounting software systems, with Macola familiarity being a plus + Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, including formula creation and data analysis + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on clarity and professionalism. + Excellent organizational abilities, time management, and attention to detail to handle multiple tasks effectively Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
