University of Rochester: Office of the Provost: University of Rochester Medical Center: School of Medicine and Dentistry: Surgery: Surgery: Oncology Salary Range or Pay Grade $270,000 - $408,160 Description The Department of Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center and Strong Memorial Hospital, located in Rochester, New York seeks a full-time faculty member to join the Division of Surgical Oncology. It is expected that candidates will have an interest in developing a practice in Surgical Oncology including gastrointestinal and soft tissue cancers. Moreover, a successful candidate will have significant experience including leading/developing a peritoneal surface malignancy program including heated introperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). Strong Memorial Hospital is an 886-bed tertiary care acdemic medical care. Qualifications Candidates must have completed medical school receiving an MD or equivalent and completed a full surgical training residency program. Must be BE/BC in general surgery and have completed a Complex Surgical Oncology fellowship. Must be eligible for a full NYS medical license Desirable candidates will possess a strong commitment to patient care, resident and medical student education, and research. It is expected that candidates will have an interest in developing a robust clinical practice in addition to a research program.
