University of Rochester: Office of the Provost: University of Rochester Medical Center: School of Medicine and Dentistry: Surgery: Surgery: Oncology Salary Range or Pay Grade $270,000 - $408,160 Description The Department of Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center and Strong Memorial Hospital, located in Rochester, New York seeks a full-time faculty member to join the Division of Surgical Oncology. It is expected that candidates will have an interest in developing a practice in Surgical Oncology including gastrointestinal and soft tissue cancers. Moreover, a successful candidate will have significant experience including leading/developing a peritoneal surface malignancy program including heated introperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). Strong Memorial Hospital is an 886-bed tertiary care acdemic medical care. Located near the pictureque Finger Lakes region of New York the University of Rochester is surrounded by world class culture, affordable housing and nationally ranked schools. Qualifications Candidates must have completed medical school receiving an MD or equivalent and completed a full surgical training residency program. Must be BE/BC in general surgery and have completed a Complex Surgical Oncology fellowship. Must be eligible for a full NYS medical license Desirable candidates will possess a strong commitment to patient care, resident and medical student education, and research. It is expected that candidates will have an interest in developing a robust clinical practice in addition to a research program. Opportunities in clinical/translational or health services research are available commensurate with the candidateu2019s research background.
